Nashville

Wednesdays on ABC, 10/9c

The critically acclaimed drama series "Nashville" returns for a second season. In last season's finale, Rayna and Deacon's final moments left their lives hanging in the balance. But one thing is certain... their relationship will never be easy. Rayna will continue to be driven by her desire to expand upon her music empire, signing new talent and going head to head with a new label chief. Juliette is poised for a fresh start after her success was briefly mired by her short-lived marriage, an extortion plot, and the shocking death of her mother. As she continues to work towards shaping her sound and style, she'll discover there isn't a lot of room for error as emerging artists continue to nip at her heels. Deacon's fall from grace will force him to evolve from his role as band leader to a position outside of his comfort zone. The question is whether or not there'll be enough time to commit to his most important role of all...being a father.

Will Lexington and the Real Homophobia of 'Nashville'

by Cameron Matthews

Last night's episode of "Nashville" entitled "Tomorrow Never Comes" saw Will Lexington at the end of his rope. The up-and-coming savior of country music can't decide what kind of man he wants to be. Will he maintain his rise as a masculine troubadour? Or will he come clean about his sexuality?

Unfortunately for Lexington, both options will leave him with unending pain. The bisexual singer, who is not openly gay in the world of "Nashville," fears coming out due to a long standing tradition of homophobia within the industry. Will's been forced to conceal his true identity, just to get to the next level of his career. In weighing his options, the singer is pushed to brink.

'Nashville' Lied to Us: Who Really Died on Winter Finale Episode?

by Cameron Matthews

Before we besiege "Nashville" producers with our unending anger, we actually need to apologize. The super scientists working on our "Who Will Die?" poll failed to use Occam's razor, which in turn left out two crucial characters: Will and Peggy.

According to our logic, it seemed as though Rayna's sister Tandy was going to bite the bullet last night.

Someone Please Teach Connie Britton About Stage Presence

by Cameron Matthews

rayna jaymes nashville

We love Connie Britton. Like, really love her.

She's got the greatest hair in show business, an excellent singing voice and some of the best acting chops in Hollywood. But someone has got to teach her how to dance.

In each episode of "Nashville," we're subjected to Rayna Jaymes strutting her stuff in front of thousands of fans. And there is nary a hip shake, or side step. She just stands there ... and sings at us.

Place Your Bets: Who Will Die on Next Week's 'Nashville'?

by Cameron Matthews

WILL NASHVILLE ABC

"Nashville" is finding new and interesting ways to outdo itself in spectacularly soapy fashion. But we can't even handle the promo for next week's episode, "Tomorrow Never Comes." We will see Teddy Conrad's Music City Festival mired in controversy, Deacon Claybourne confronting his daughter's legal father, and ... SOMEONE WILL DIE.

Yep, the producers of "Nashville" are ready to kill someone off. As if the entire ensemble hasn't had enough heartache from recent murders (Juliette's mom and Dante).

So, the question remains: Who will croak next week? We have a few ideas below, but don't forget to let us know what you think in the comments section.
